2001 handbells were used in the Bells and Brass concert at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne, November 2001 (the final concert of the Melbourne International Festival)
The concert featured the premier performance of Gates of Day and involved over 400 bell-ringers, 100 brass, percussion and military band
